Paul/Reinhardt Expo 2018: from June 7 to 9, 2018

Rip and cross-cut system for the production of thick veneers, consisting of feeding system with buffer area (1), right-angle transfer unit with lateral singulator station (2), automatic workpiece assessment (3), right-angle transfer unit (4/9), multi-strand buffer conveyor (5), AB920_SPOT infeed system (6), K34G/800 ripsaw (7), automatic offcut separator, crook measuring unit (10), RAPID optimizing cross-cut saw (11), manual sorting belt (12), automatic sorting system with 16 sorting stations (13) and several waste belts (14)

Numerous specialist lectures by PAUL and guest exhibitors round out the exhibition.

At Expo 2018 not only the technical innovations and product portfolios of the Paul and Reinhardt brands will be on display, also numerous guest exhibitors will be presenting their products.

At the Expo party on Friday, June 8, visitors and exhibitors can continue their discussions in a cozy atmosphere until well into the evening.

From June 7 to 9, 2018, the new edition of the “Expo”, a merger of the former PAUL Optimization Days and the REINHARDT Packaging Days, will take place at Paul Maschinenfabrik in Dürmentingen/Germany. Inspired by the great success two years ago, the host will not only present the technical innovations and    product portfolios of its two brands, but the entire range of industrial woodworking with highlights of the packaging industry and automation. 16 guest exhibitors have already confirmed their attendance. All interested trade visitors are cordially invited to join the Expo 2018.

A major focus at the expo will be a rip and cross-cut system for the production of thick veneers, comprising a K34GV/800 ripsaw and a RAPID cross-cut system. Both machines are supplied with optimization data from a common in-line scanner. A unique infeed system (AB920_SPOT) detects the position of the laterally incoming workpieces in real time regardless of the wane, automatically aligns them according to the optimization results from the scanner and feeds them into the ripsaw. This complex system impressively demonstrates the efficiency and expertise of the South German machinery manufacturer in the system engineering, automation and control technologies and is intended to secure the customer’s competitiveness for the future.
Another important topic at the expo will be the optimized packaging production, for which the German Association for Wood Packaging Materials, Pallets, Export Packaging (HPE) has announced its presence and specialist lecture. For this special application PAUL has developed the SlimLine Formatic of the Reinhardt brand of which several machines are already in use. This optimizing cross-cut system features an automatic push-feeder for positioning the workpieces with highest precision and an integrated rip saw for cross-cutting and ripping in a single pass which is not only advantageous to the production of closed-deck packaging elements.

Also available for demonstration at the expo will be PAUL multirip circular saws for panel and solid wood processing as well as optimizing cross-cut saws. Numerous guest exhibitors of the entire process chain of the woodworking industry will present their products to the visitors in the form of exhibits or specialist lectures, rounding out the range on offer. Interlinking their products with Paul and Reinhardt machines opens up further interesting and future-oriented possibilities for use in the modern timber industry.

For better planning, please register your visit to Paul.
